Are You Ready for Some Football?!

Whether you’re gearing up for a Super Bowl party or just hosting a few friends at home for SNF, we have some festive snacks that will wow your fellow football fans. While these party snacks look elaborate, they are actually quite simple and can be thrown together in 24-hours or less by supporting local and visiting your nearest grocery store.

  • For a mouth-watering game day treat, pre-order soft pretzels from Nashville Soft Pretzel Co., one of our favorite local businesses. They can be pre-ordered for pick-up on Saturday, February 6th from Sperry's Mercantile, or for Sunday pick-up at The Picnic Tap, located in the Nashville Farmer's Market. On game day, you can serve warm as is, or you can slice and make into party-sized sliders! Pro tip: All information can be found on Nashville Soft Prezel Co.'s website.

  • Then, head over to the nearest grocery story and hit up the frozen section to create what is sure to be everyone's favorite sampler: an eye-catching French Fry Platter with dipping sauces! Waffle fries, sweet potato fries, tater tots...you name it...all are welcome on this party platter. Pro tip: Don't forget dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, ketchup and BBQ sauce.

  • While in the frozen section, grab a box or two of ice cream sandwiches for a that halftime sugar kick! Pro tip: Don't forget the popsicle sticks and white icing to make this treat resemble a football. The white icing can be found in the baking section near the birthday candles and comes in a small tube called 'Writing Gel."

  • Finally, visit your neighborhood liquor store for a 6-pack of your favorite local beer. They can be poured into pint glasses or frozen beer mugs and topped with a variety of skewered sliced pickles for a burst of many flavors. Pro tip: Your grocery store might also sell your favorite local beer, which requires one less stop!

  • Bonus points if you serve with festive accessories, like football plates and 50 yard line napkins! Stores like Hester & Cook, Target and Shindigs & Celebrations should carry items like these.
